Painting Technique
Entropica
I called my painting technique Entropica, from the word entropy. I think of entropy as intelligent chaos, as something that is meant by design, therefore chaos as per the definition of the word itself doesn’t really exist; it is just a is a germinal state of something that is evolving.
Most of my paintings start with an image or a feeling that I want to capture on canvas. I put my headphones on and immerse myself into a feeling and I try to transfer it to a tangible object. I mix oil colors with water-based colors in random order. Colors mix and form random patterns, shapes, and broken textures which I use to my advantage to create interesting effects. I try to guide the flow of colors but I can’t completely control it. Sometimes colors will mix and sometimes they won’t, just like people. The end result of my creative process is never what I expected but nevertheless interesting and positive.

Artist Statement
My art is an expression of the process of transformation of negative emotions to positive by the act of liberation through the artistic process. My work is all on mixed media on canvas, I explore themes of destruction, rage and violence through the depictions of eruptions, explosions, apocalyptic scenarios all the way to the other spectrum of emotions, calmness, acceptance and gratitude through paintings of beautiful aerials of water and beaches which instill a feeling of belonging to a magical world where everything is possible.
My art is the fruit of my subconscious. I hardly control the themes that I paint. They come out of me seamlessly. I do not necessarily worry too much about the outcome because art is a process and every stroke and color has the right to exist on a canvas at that particular moment because it is part ,and intrinsically connected, to how I feel inside. My art is the product of many mistakes layered on top of each other and the realization that there are no mistakes, everything is in its right place.
It captures the essence of my being and the endless transformations I went through to find myself.
